Palmolive Antibacterial is a staple in my kitchen, this is the dish soap that I trust the most for my familias dishes. I love the citrus scent and I love that it is antibacterial, so I know that it is getting rid of harmful bacteria that can do a number on their tummy's. But did you know that there are so many more Palmolive Dish Soap uses than just los trastes? Palmolive is “tough on grease, but soft on hands” and that means that there are endless uses for this product that you already purchase.
Walmart always has the best prices on Palmolive soap, and they have all the varieties. Here are a few ways that I incorporate Palmolive Dish Soap into my my beauty routine.
Washing your brushes with Palmolive Antibacterial: Because makeup brushes are chock full of bacteria, I like to use the antibacterial dish soap to give them a good wash at least every two weeks if not more often. Dirty makeup brushes are so bad for your skin and cause major acne breakouts. I like to make a very soft solution of dish soap and warm water and either spray it on or wash them on the plate that you see above. I don't add vinegar like a lot of people do because I don't want my brushes to smell so strong, this soap leaves them with a light citrus scent and feeling clean and ready to be used.
How about the gnarly makeup sponge? I am such a stickler for germs that it took me forever to buy one because I could not stand the thought of a sponge that would be used so many times straight on the skin. Now that I have this Real Techniques Complexion Sponge, I really like it and I just have to make sure to give it a good wash with Palmolive every few days.
By using Palmolive Antibacterial to wash my brushes and my sponge, I avoid getting breakouts, which my aging skin does not need. I also feel like I am saving money because brush solutions can cost a lot and it doesn't have as many uses as Palmolive. I love shopping for makeup, if I can save the money I would use on a brush solution, then I can spend it on something else I really want. There is a long list of things, let me tell ya.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I am a big fan of Bath & Body Works, I shopped there today and them came home and placed an online order, I am just obsessed with bath and body products. One of the big things that I used to buy was sugar scrubs. One for the bathroom sink, one for the bath and one for the guest bathroom. Sugar scrubs can cost a pretty penny, especially when you have a large family of women. Well, I found out how to make my own sugar scrub and it is nowhere near as expensive and I love how this smells so soft and pretty! Check out how easy it is to make!
You will need:
Palmolive Soft Touch Dish Soap, a container and a cup of regular white sugar and a spoon.
Directions: Depending on the size of your container, I found these smaller ones at Walmart, start by spooning in sugar up to 3/4 of the container. Then slowly add soap while very gently stirring, you will not need that much so go slowly so you don't make it too runny. When it reaches the consistency you like, whether a little more liquidy or drier, then slowly mix and make sure you get all the sugar mixed in. Add a cute bow to your little container and you are done. Facil!
Palmolive Soft Touch contains Vitamin E and has this amazingly gentle scent that is just perfect for a sugar scrub. It leaves your hands silky soft when you wash dishes, so it is just marvelous when you use it as a scrub. I put mine in my bathroom counter and it looks perfectly cute. Now I can scrub the dead skin of my flaky hands right before going to bed!
