Summer has been a lot of fun, especially after we did some shopping for hair accessories for Sammy. Because of her sisters, Sammy is already very much into fashion and hair styling, when we go to the mall she loves picking out new things to get looks similar to her sisters. For the past weeks it has been all about doing the same style Cici does, which is a beachy, wavy loose style. This style doesn't come naturally to Sammy's hair because she has super fine and limp hair. Since she has such fine hair, it gets super tangled all the time, especially when we wash it. Detangler is totally her best friend, I am pretty sure we go through one bottle a month, which is a lot.

Using the JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® Shampoo and Conditioner for thin hair, we washed her hair and toweled dry. This product Leaves hair easier to comb/manage without feeling weighed down
The shampoo & conditioner makes her hair a lot softer and easier to comb out, but again because it's so thin, just the towel drying gets her tangled again. Next Sammy picks out one of her crowns, headbands or bows. She has been loving the floral crown trend, as has the rest of the world. But now that her hair is all brushed out, it also looks really straight and flat and she loves it to be wavy.
This is where we add a little bit of wave and body by going around her head and doing some braiding.
The more braids we do, the wavier her hair will get. Also when we are going to go out the next day, she will sleep with the braids in to really give her hair that wavy style in the morning. Today we just wanted a light wave, since we were hanging out at home so we did a top row of braids and left them in place for about 3o minutes.
The other day I found her spraying her sisters Salt Beach Spray because that's what she sees her use, but I really don't like how bad that dries my own hair out and makes it super crunchy. This is a much better way to achieve a similar look with less damage, just watch when you are pulling out the hair bands.
Only 30 minutes and she already had a nice little wave, and with no hair damage! By the way, when we go out I will spray a tiny bit of hairspray to keep the style but normally I try not to use any hot tool or any styling products meant for older hair. She's has such fine, thin hair, the last thing we need is for it to be fried.
Now her look is complete. She has a tiny bit of wave and her floral crown sits better against it.
Until she is older and can curl her hair to get a bigger wave like Cici, this style is perfect for Sammy and very age appropriate.
With her favorite summer style ready, Sammy can spend the day playing with her doll house, or we can take a shopping day with the family. Her dad is coming home in a week and we will be taking a tiny vacation too, and we will be taking the JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® line with us when we do.
