One of my favorite Mexican desserts of all times is the very simple to make but highly deliciosa Gelatina de Leche. I love this Mexican jello that is made with milk so much, it's one of the recipes that always brings me back to my roots. When it comes to planning our Pascua (Easter), Gelatina de Leche has to be on the menu. Not only is it easy to prepare, the whole family loves it and it's easy to serve and decorate for the holiday. This year I knew that I wanted to incorporate M&M's® Easter Sundae flavor into my recipe because these M&M's® are super cute and festive. So perfect for Easter! M&M's® Easter Sundae flavor are a Walmart exclusive, I suggest picking some up right away if you want to include them in your Easter festivities because they will go quick!
How cute is this presentation? You just have to fix some of these mason jars up for everyone in the familia. They are a perfect way for them to enjoy the gelatina and save any leftovers. Plus they will look cute at the Easter Sunday table.
Gelatina de Leche
(4 servings)
Ingredients:
1 cup milk
1 can of evaporated milk
1 can of sweet condensed milk
1/2 cup of water
4 envelopes of unflavored gelatine
(7gram envelopes)
Instructions:
In a cup or bowl mix boiling water and unflavored gelatine until thickened, set aside for a few minutes. In a sauce pot heat up the three milks and heat until right before boiling. Spoon in gelatine mixture and stir for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool down. Once mixture is cool pour into molds. Refrigerate until firm. Remove from refrigerator and top with M&M's® Easter Sundae for that perfect Easter touch!
