I am a little late but I wanted to share my June favorites before we get any further into July. It's just so hard to pick favorites when you have so many items to choose from! During July I tried my best to circulate my cosmetics so that they can all get some use, but even like that, there are things I rediscover all the time because I just don't wear makeup daily. And as much as I try to give everything an equal chance, there is only so much makeup I can wear!
Anyways, I took a good look around and pulled the favorite items from the many that I did get a chance to wear during June and these are the ones that really stood out.
Sofia by Sofia Vergara. Adrian got me this bottle for Mother's Day on the very night that it launched on HSN. I had never smelled it but based off the notes, I knew that it would be really nice. Upon receiving it, I noticed that is smells very similar to my La Vie Est Belle from Lancome. I wear this a lot as you can tell by the bottle and I totally love this scent. If I had to use only one word to describe it, it would be, alluring.
The REFLECT SHIMMER PALETTE from the Fergie Center Stage Collection has gotten a lot of love from me since getting it a few months ago. I bought all three of the palettes from this collection and ended up giving Munkey the highlighter one because she fell in love with it. I kept the two bronzy shades and I love wearing these alone as both a blush and bronzer. They give my face a wonderful glow and shimmer that is so perfect for summer. Unfortunately the packaging leaves a lot to be desired because they are made so that can become unglued very easily and can also shatter very easily. But if you store them carefully, you should not have a problem.
I have been using the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara on and off for a few months but in the last weeks I stuck only to this one so I could finish it. I have so many new ones that I want to try but I don't like having more than 3 open at once because then they get dried out and old. So I used this non-stop for a few weeks and I have to say this is one of those items that everyone raves about that really delivers. I think it is only $2.99 and yet it does such a fantastic job of separating and thickening my lashes. In two coats I get the perfect lashes and I will def be purchasing this again once I finish with all of the mascaras I have now.
Others:
Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation has become my holy grail even after finding it cakey when I first tried it. I am going to do a full review on this, so I will not go into full details here, just know that this is a great foundation. My favorite lippes of the month have been the entire L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paints. I found these so comparable to my Too Faced Melted Lipcolors and you can buy the entire collection for a few bucks more than 1 Too Faced lip color. I also fell in love with my collection of Maybelline High Shine Lip Glosses. I have swatches that China and I did a bit ago but haven't been able to get them posted. I could not believe what great glosses I had tucked away since last year! They smell great, have super decent pigment and are available in many shades. Then there is NYX Matte Lipstick in Indie Flick, this lip color is life. Life, I tell you!
Last but definitely not least is the Overdrive app on my Kindle Fire. This is a FREE library app that lets you connect to whatever library you have a card at, and check out ebooks! You don't ever have to step into the library if you don't want to with this app. Personally, I could live at the library but I never have the time to go. So middle of the month I dusted off my Kindle and I logged in and checked out a few books by my favorite authors, and I have been getting my read on. Sometimes I only get a few minutes but it is so good for the soul! If you have not been reading lately, you need to make the time for it. It is so worth it!
