July Ipsy Bag - Sammy Makes Six

July Ipsy Bag

I received my bag yesterday after expecting it since Friday or Saturday. I usually get it the day tracking codes go out, but this time my bag was stuck in Compton for a few days. Well now that it has arrived, I am very happy with it. Check out what I got in my July Ipsy bag!

First thing of course is the bag! July's bag is a super cute, neon pink bag with scalloped edges. I am in love with this bag, it's bright color is not going to get lost in my purse no matter how packed it may be, and just looking at thus bright color makes me happy.

I've given a few of my Ipsy bags to the girls, this one is MINE.

First product is a very generous 1.7 oz bottle of Sexy Hair
Soy Renewal Beach Spray Conditioning & Texturizing Spray! This is a fantastic size, definitely a travel size and not a sample size. Munkey loves beach sprays so she was very happy to get this adorable bottle from me. I am currently using another more affordable brand and so far haven't "loved" the finish which is crunchy and dry, so I wouldn't try this myself. Cici on the other hand, will get a lot of use from this.

Now this is something I am totally digging! The Pixi Beauty
Mini Tinted Brilliance Balm in Unique Pink. Okay so the other day I spent over 30 minutes of my life going round and round Target looking for Pixi products. I have been dying to try some of their tinted balms. But nope, nowhere to be found in my local Target. That is what I was super excited to get this product. Every other time Ipsy has had a cool lip product that I want to try out, I never get it (Revlon Balms), so this time I didn't even try to hope and I was thrilled when I opened my bag and saw this little guy peeking out. The color is a very pretty shade and it smells minty. I also liked how glossy the swatch I did came out, so I think this will be very much like my favorite Jordana chubby sticks. I will swatch this in the coming days on Instagram, but already I know that I am a fan.

I was also very pleased to get this full size POP Beauty
Sunkissed Bronzer in Sun Kissed. This is my first dark brown bronzer and it swatches very smooth and has plenty of color and just enough shimmer. I love bronzer so I can not wait to give it a go! I did try going to the Pop Beauty website to see the retail value of this product, and it's not in stock and shows no price. :( On a side note: their website needs serious help.

The next item is the very strange bareMinerals
5-in-1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow Broad Spectrum SPF 15. I am not an eye shadow expert but I found this to be very strange. The color is very deep and it goes on very thick and very dark. It does dry matte almost immediately  and seems to stay put, according to my arm swatch which I can still see a day later. I will try this, it might be incredible, but until I do test it I just don't know.

The last item in my July Ipsy bag is the Hang Ten
Dark Tanning Oil SPF 08. Once again, another very generous travel size. I know Hang Ten is a good brand that has been around forever. I have never tanned because I am brown enough, but I can appreciate the large size and brand. I gave this to Munkey so she can apply it to her legs which most definitely need color.

Here are the three products during my initial swatch. I totally love the Pixi Balm and the Pop Beauty Bronzer.

My July Ipsy bag was pretty awesome if I say so myself. If I could change anything, I would have preferred the Bare Mineral shadows in the little compact. Those just seem more normal and I have never tried a bare Minerals shadow, but maybe next time. Overall I am very happy with my bag and I can't wait to try this stuff out on my face! Did the Ipsy Bag fairy visit you yet? If so, what did you get?
