Sammy heads back to class in a little over a week and in my house we are getting ourselves stocked up and ready to go. Back-to-school season for me has always been the most hectic of times, so the last thing that I want to do is wait until the last minute to stock up on snacks and drinks for her school lunches. As I have shared before, Sammy goes to a school that does not offer a lunch program, which means it is up to me to provide 2 snacks, lunch and 2-3 drinks per day. Yes, her school requests a 2 drink minimum for her lunch alone (because we live inland in a very hot town) and she needs another one for her breaks. Her school lunch and snack costs alone can seriously make a dent on my grocery budget, so I take my savings whenever I can get them. Lucky for me Albertsons and all of its banner stores are having a HUGE 76th Anniversary Sale that has many of the items I buy for her on sale. And by sale, I mean sale! These are prices that make stocking up completely worth while.
If your kids are headed back to class or your just like to stock up the way that I do when there is a sale, then you need to check out the HUGE sale for sure. Look at just two of the deals that I scored: $1.88 Doritos when you buy 4 and $2.99 on an 8-pack of Gatorade when you purchase 3. That comes out to .37 per Gatorade, making that an insane value, and in this heat we can definitely use savings like that on a drink all of my family enjoys. The Albertsons and Banner stores 76th Anniversary HUGE sale runs until 8/11, so there is still time to pass by and load up your cart. I am going tomorrow to grab more because I did not get enough.
Extra savings like this allow me to have snacks and drinks ready for my munchkin, not just for school but for when she is home relaxing too.
