Honey is a pretty big deal at my house. Growing up, there was always honey in the house and my mom used it in so many ways. It was a part of her cooking as well as a part of how we stayed healthy and warded of coughs. One of the most famous traditions in Latino culture is the ever famous miel con limon remedy. I still go back to that one every time that I get a cold, and it never fails to make me feel so much better. Today, I want to share a very fun & easy snack that is great for holiday snacking. This snack is sweet & spicy, just like yours truly.

For this dish I picked up Don Victor Honey from the Latino Foods section in Walmart. This is the section in the store where you can find all of the authentic Latino brands and products. I found Don Victor Honey right on the top shelf.

Don Victor Honey is absolutely delicious tasting and it is packaged in such a beautiful jar, you almost want to save it for special occasions. But it is affordably priced so you can enjoy it anytime you want.

It has a big chunk of honeycomb in the middle, which my mom loves so I am giving her a jar of this in her Christmas basket.

A few other Don Victor products include: Don Victor Whipped Honey with Cinnamon, Cocoa and Caramel. These are so yummy especially topped on a hot roll on a cold morning!

Recipe:
3 Cups of Almonds
1 1/2 Tbsp of Butter
1 Tsp Sea Salt
1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
1/2 Cup Don Victor Honey

Instructions:
Heat for a few minutes in a small pot: honey and butter stirring frequently. Add cayenne pepper and salt. Once your mixture is fully blended, add your almonds making sure to coat them fully. Now that your almonds and raisins are fully coated with the honey mixture, put them on cookie sheet covered with wax paper making sure to separate them, and allow them to cool fully. Place tray in oven and heat to 350 degrees. Bake for 10-15 minutes (do not include the wax paper). Pull tray out carefully and allow Almonds to cool. Serve!

This is quick snack that you can whip up for the family to enjoy while they are watching holiday movies. My kids love to have crunchy snacks to munch on while sitting down to enjoy their favorite movies, and these are nice and crunchy with that small hint of spice. This is just one of the many ways you can incporporate Don Victor Honey into your holidays. I have my jar on the counter where I can easily grab a spoonful for a hot tea all day.
