Easter Sunday was a little bit quieter this year for us. I am not religious and haven't raised my children to be, so holidays like this at our house are just about giving the kids their little Easter egg hunt, egg coloring and Easter pails. Since it was only going to be Sammy and Jeremiah, we didn't even go out until the day before to pick up the little trinkets for their pails. The stores we an absolute mad house!
Even though it was so much quieter and the egg hunt was for a lonely party of one (Sammy), she still had a lot of fun finding her 25 hidden eggs. Then Jack and her colored some really pretty eggs that had a very pretty iridescent finish, and we had Chinese food exactly as she requested. I don't know if it's strange that we had Chinese, but in my house we have never gone all out cooking on this day, so we always eat some take out.
At the end of the day, Sammy had a great day, and that right there is what's important. Little Jeremiah might have had a great day too, but he doesn't really smile or laugh right now, so if he did, he is keeping it on the down low.
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter day too :)
